The Collegiate Sports Safety Report
NSSO will publish a comprehensive annual report that includes the safety equipment and procedures currently in use at participating colleges and universities. The criteria will be compiled from the nation's leading health and safety organizations, including The American Heart Association, The American Lung Association, The American Medical Association, The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America and others. The CSSR will identify what safety equipment and procedures should be in place to ensure the safety and health of all sports participants.
Student athletes and their families will be able to use this report to determine which schools and universities are meeting or exceeding NSSO's recommended safety guidelines. This report will allow students to compare safety programs at a variety of institutions, thus enabling them to choose a school that maintains a high level of sports safety compliance.
